1. Keep healthy eating habits

- Eat your three main meals and allow for one or two snacks, this is if you usually feel hungry between meals.

- Don’t skip any meals.

- Eat enough fruits and vegetables.

- Eat slowly and chew your food.

- It’s better to slowly change  your habits forever than to try a temporary fix.

2. Drink plenty of water

- Drink at least a liter of water a day. One or two glasses during your meal and the rest spared during the day. The water can also be consumed in the form of tea, onion soup and celery. The liquids can also help you reduce hunger.

3. Weight yourself only once a week

Write your weight down one a notebook. Weighting yourself too often could de-motivate us, since there will be days that you won’t be able to lose any weight. We won’t get thiner by weighting ourselves more frequently.

4. Plan your meals ahead (Written down)

It’s important to go to the grocery store on a full stomach so you don’t end up buying more than what you need.

5. Exercise

No doubt that a necessary  element to losing weight is excercise. Walk between 30 minutes to an hour a day, practice a sport or enroll in a gym… that way it will “obligate you” to do it.

6. Avoid as much as possible:

- Sugar and white or wheat bread, since both contain high amount of calories. If it’s really necessary, substitute sugar with an artificial sweetener… but always in moderation. The best thing would be to make a habit of not sweetening your food and beverages for healthier eating.

- Alcoholic beverages: beer and wine.

- Sweetened beverages: Fruit juices with sugar, lemonades, sodas, etc

- Candy, gum, candy bars, chocolatem ice cream and cakes,

7. Almost always avoid.

- High-Fat foods, meats, cream, bacon.

- Fatty fruits: avocadoes, almonds, hazelnut, peanuts, nuts, olives, pistachoes and pine nuts.

- Fried food and fatty dressings.
